Molutrex
BAP Medical

Molutrex

Molutrex contains a stable solution of potassium hydroxide (also known as KOH). This agent breaks down the hard keratin surface of the skin. When painted onto the molluscum blisters this sets off an irritant reaction which stimulates the body’s own immune system to attack the virus. The virus is destroyed and the blisters heal.
DermaSilk Therapeutic Clothing
BAP Medical

DermaSilk Therapeutic Clothing

DermaSilk are itch-reducing garments and tubular sleeve that are designed to treat pruritus and irritation caused by eczema, dry skin and dermatitis in adults and children, plus chemo and radiotherapy induced conditions and certain gynaecological conditions such as lichen sclerosus, lichen simplex chronicus and recurrent thrush. They are made from a unique combination of medical grade, fibroin silk, protected by a non-migrating antimicrobial that cannot be removed from the fabric. DermaSilk is designed to be worn as a long-term prophylactic and is not intended for wet or dry wrapping. Only a light amount of non-greasy emollient is required under it. The garments can be used in the presence of infection as they are not occlusive and have been tailored to ensure that they will last for as long as they fit the patient
Ixekizumab (Taltz)
Lilly

Ixekizumab (Taltz)

Ixekizumab is an IgG4 monoclonal antibody that binds with high affinity (<3 pM) and specificity to interleukin 17A (both IL-17A and IL-17A/F). Elevated concentrations of IL-17A have been implicated in the pathogenesis of psoriasis by promoting keratinocyte proliferation and activation, as well as in the pathogenesis of psoriatic arthritis by driving inflammation leading to erosive bone damage and pathological new bone formation. Neutralisation of IL-17A by ixekizumab inhibits these actions.
Baricitinib (Olumiant)
Lilly

Baricitinib (Olumiant)

Baricitinib is a selective and reversible inhibitor of Janus kinase (JAK)1 and JAK2. In isolated enzyme assays, baricitinib inhibited the activities of JAK1, JAK2, Tyrosine Kinase 2 and JAK3 with IC50 values of 5.9, 5.7, 53 and > 400 nM, respectively. Janus kinases (JAKs) are enzymes that transduce intracellular signals from cell surface receptors for a number of cytokines and growth factors involved in haematopoiesis, inflammation and immune function. Within the intracellular signalling pathway, JAKs phosphorylate and activate signal transducers and activators of transcription (STATs), which activate gene expression within the cell. Baricitinib modulates these signalling pathways by partially inhibiting JAK1 and JAK2 enzymatic activity, thereby reducing the phosphorylation and activation of STATs.
